Tributes paid to heroes of Anglo-Manipuri War

Remembering the brave hearts who fought the Khongjom Battle of Anglo Manipur War 1891, Khongjom Battle Memorial Committee, Manipur observed Khongjom Battle Commemoration Day at Tengol Lampak, Khongjom today.
Paying homage and floral tribute to the bust of Major Chongtha Miya erected at Tengol Lampak and other unknown valiant fighters were the highlight of the observation.
In a release, the Khongjom Battle Memorial Committee has conveyed its appreciation to the Superintendent of Archeology Department for keeping the Tengol Lampak clean & well maintained.
Meanwhile, the Descendants of Heroes of the Anglo-Manipuri War, 1891in association with Ningthemcha Ningsing Lup also paid floral tributes to the brave heroes of Khongjom battle at Khongjom River today.
