IMPHAL, Apr 26: The proscribed KYKL celebrated its 30th raising day on April 25 both inside Kangleipak and outside.
The raising day was celebrated at the outfit’s general headquarters, central headquarters, 1st battalion, 2nd battalion, units and all sections, conveyed a press release issued by its secretary, publicity and research A Yaiphaba.
The main function was held at the general headquarters where top leaders of the party paid ‘National salute’ to the party’s flag and offered floral tributes to all the martyrs who had laid down their lives in the course of the revolutionary movement.
The most prominent feature of the raising day celebration was reading out of the KYKL Chairman’s message to the public.
According to the KYKL Chairman, politics is the physical manifestation of the economy, and sub-structures like a community’s culture, morality, religious practices, judicial system, arts, literature and philosophy etc are dependent on the economy.
Reading the ongoing Kuki-Meitei conflict from Marxist-Leninist perspective, the Chairman elaborated on the economic forces which gave rise to the conflict.
Underscoring the urgent need for laying a strong economic foundation, the Chairman asserted the people of Kangleipak must transform themselves as subjects from being objects.
Moreh can never be an exclusive domain for Kukis or Meiteis. It should be a common asset for the whole WESEA region, the Chairman asserted.
