IMPHAL, Apr 26 : ESU, Wangkhei defeated Youth Welfare Club, Thambalkhong (YWC-Th) 1-0 as Young Welfare Club, Langthabal (YWC-L) held FC Imphal to a 1-1 draw in today's matches of the U-17 Khelo India Girls Football League at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
In the first match of the day, ESU sealed all three points by beating YWC-Th thanks to a 58th minute strike from Naorem Henarita.
Later in the day, FC Imphal broke the deadlock early in the 7th minute through Thongam Reshma but YWC-L rode on Konthoujam Daina to equalise in the 37th minute.
Despite efforts, the two sides failed to add up any goal and ended up sharing a point apiece.
KFA will play ICSA in the next match on April 28 before YWC-Th play FC Imphal the same day.
