THAU vs PTCC in 2nd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy title clash

IMPHAL, Apr 27 : THAU, Thangmeiband will lock horns with PTCC, Patsoi Part III in the ultimate clash of the 2nd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy on April 30.
THAU cruised to the final today with a 66-run thrashing of FORCE, Kshetrigao in the first semi-final match here at THAU ground.
THAU won the toss and amassed 203/7 in the allotted 35 overs before bowling out FORCE for 137 within 29.1 overs for the massive victory.
THAU were dealt with early blows and slipped to 26/3 within 7.2 overs with Wakila Shani sweeping all the wickets  but Seterny Devi who came in at 3 scored an 89-ball 100 to rescue THAU from the precarious situation.
Konjengbam Nonibala was unbeaten on 32 as THAU wrapped up their innings with the scoreboard reading 203/7.
Wakila eventually returned with the best bowling figures of 3/29 in 5 overs for FORCE as Rahamatum, Sadiya Sahani and Farjiya picked a wicket apiece.
In reply, FORCE too faced stiff opposition from THAU bowlers and were reduced to 51 for 3 in 12.4 overs as Thoithoibi Ahongsangbam bowled out Jyotika for 1, Hijam Malemkhombi trapped Rahamatum lbw on 5-ball duck and and Mehanaz getting run out by Konjengbam Nonibala.
Number 2 batter Barkatun Khanam however held on for a while and scored 77 off 67 before she was bowled out by Megnoria Khundrakpam for the fourth wicket in the 19th over as the scoreboard read 105.
Konjengbam Nonibala inflicted further damage on FORCE by removing Khadija on duck for the 6th wicket before Megnoria swung into action and swept the 7th, 8th and the 9th wickets to leave FORCE struggling at 137/9 in 28.5 overs.
Hijam Malemkhombi then bowled out E Firdos Hasina for a 9-ball duck to end the FORCE innings at 137 in the 30th over.
Megnoria returned with the best bowling figures of 4/21 in 6 overs as Malemkhombi finished with 2/8 in 6.1 overs.
Seterny who struck a ton for THAU was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak, PTCC registered an 8-wicket semi-final victory over ASKDO, Khangabok.
AKSDO opted to bat first but were restricted to 131 for 6 wickets and PTCC chased down the target for two wickets in 18.4 overs courtesy of an unbeaten 58-ball 74 from Laishram Teresa.
Taniya 42 and Sofiya Saikhom 36 led the scoring for AKSDO in their innings that saw Niruka (2/15) and Konsam Sayatombi (2/20) sharing four wickets for PTCC. Alish Thokchom (2/34) was the pick of the AKSDO bowlers.
Laishram Teresa, who clobbered 12 fours on the way to her 74, to ensure PTCC a comfortable win was adjudged player of the match.
