Heroin seized

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Imphal Regional Unit arrested four persons and seized 581.95 grams of heroin from their possession at Bishnupur Bazar on April 1.
Based on credible inputs, the DRI Imphal Regional Unit intercepted a suspicious i20 Hyundai and recovered 50 soap cases containing the narcotic substance at Bishnupur Bazar, said a press note issued by Ganreipu, Deputy Director, DRI, Imphal RU.
The seized heroin is approximately worth Rs 4.0736 crore in the international market and were smuggled into India from the Indo-Myanmar border.
