IVFA win 1-0 in 5th Sangai Trophy opener

IMPHAL, Apr 7 : IVFA, Singjamei registered a slender 1-0 win as the 5th Sangai Trophy Veteran's Football Championship kicked off at CYLC ground, Pishum under the aegis of United Veteran Football Association, Manipur.
The lone goal that helped IVFA open Group (D) campaign on a winning note was scored by K Rajesh Singh in the 54th minute of the match.
Tomorrow, FLAM, Yaiskul will play MUSA, Wangkhei in the second Group D match from 2 pm before Langthabal FC play VSAI, Thangmeiband in the Group A opener from 3.30 pm.
16 teams clubbed into four groups are taking part in the league cum knock-out tournament. Two top teams from each group will advance to quarterfinals.
