16th Manipur State League begins, YOSC upset TRAU 3-0

IMPHAL, April 7 : YOSC, Khurai got off to a flying start in the 16th Manipur State League as they blanked TRAU, Kwakeithel 3-0 courtesy of a double from Ningthoujam Pritam at DSA ground, Kakching.
15 teams clubbed into two groups are taking part in this edition of the tournament organised by the All Manipur Football Association.
N Pritam found the breakthrough in the 21st minute in the opening match of the tournament (Group B) today to give YOSC a 1-0 first half lead.
Despite chances in both the halves, TRAU failed to convert and to their disappointment, S Sanathoi doubled the advantage for YOSC late in the 89th minute before N Pritam converted a penalty four minutes into the stoppage time to complete the 3-0 rout.
