Thang-Ta technical team from State head to Assam

IMPHAL, May 19 : A 5-member technical team of Thang-Ta Federation of India from Manipur left Imphal today for Assam to provide technical support during the 1st RK Madhuryyajit Thang-Ta Trophy 2024 due to be hosted by Assam from April 23 to 24 at South Barak Guest House in Binakandi, Cachar.
The team includes technical chairman of the National Federation Oja Huidrom Premkumar, said Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association in a press release.
The competition will see athletes from different districts in Assam compete for top honours, it said.
Thang-Ta Federation of India, has been working tirelessly to promote the indigenous game of Manipur to the international level and make it an Olympic sport in the future, said Oja Premkumar before boarding the flight today.
The competition in Assam will attract more people towards Thang-Ta, he opined.
