WYFC thrash Yairipok FC 4-1 in Tbl Super Divn Football League opener

IMPHAL, May 19 : WYFC, Wangjing pulled off a comfortable 4-1 win over Yairipok FC in the opening match of the L Memcha Devi Memorial Super Division Football League 2024 this afternoon at Kodompokpi Sports Complex.
Nepolian shone with a brace in this one sided encounter to help WYFC kick off their campaign on a bright note.
Dingkal found the lead for WYFC in the 29th minute but Yairipok FC rallied back and drew level through N Bikram in the 36th minute.
After the 1-1 draw in the opening half, Nepolian helped WYFC regain the lead in the 64th minute before he struck his second in the 72nd minute to give his team a two-goal cushion.
Anil then struck the final goal in stoppage time (80+1') to seal the game 4-1 in WYFC's favour.
