Store fired upon

IMPHAL, May 19: Shattered glasses injured a 23-year-old shopkeeper when unidentified gunmen fired at a store at Sanakeithel at around 8.10 pm today.
Thounaojam Pari, son of Ibotombi of Nambol Kabaw Wakching, was at the store when the gunmen fired two rounds of bullets.
The bullets shattered glasses which hurt him on the head and chest.
He was taken to RIMS Hospital and is undergoing treatment. The injuries are minor and he is in stable conditions, said sources.
The owner of the shop-People's Store has been identified as Salam Suresh (60) of Selungba Leikai.
Sources said Indian Made Foreign Liquor had been seized from the shop earlier.
Lamphel police have registered a case regarding the shooting today.
