AMPLA names squad for National Sub-Jr Powerlifting C'ship

IMPHAL, May 20 : The All Manipur Powerlifting Association (AMPLA) has announced the names of players who will be representing Manipur at the 25th Sub Junior National Equipped Powerlifting Championship.
The players shortlisted for the championship due to be held in Patiala, Punjab from June 16 to 21 include Thounaojam Lanchenba (66 kg) and Hanjabam Deepraj Sharma (74 kg) and Nabeeha Momin Khulakpam (52 kg).
AMPLA also named Naorem Sushila and Md Maqbul Ali as team coach and manager.
AMPLA in a separate note also informed that a trial selection for preparation of State team will be held on May 26 at Sega Road Takhellambam Leikai in view of the National Masters Equipped and Classic Powerlifting Championship 2024.
The National championship is scheduled to be hosted by Madhya Pradesh in Indore from July 21 to 26.
Players intending to attend the trial may submit entry (with age proof certificate) till 6 pm of May 24 to Elangbam Inao (association's general secretary) of Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai Lane No 6.
