IMPHAL, May 21 : Kingsway English School, Sanjenthong will face off against Emmanuel English Academy, Yaingangpokpi in U-17 Boys final of the 63rd Imphal East District Level Subroto Mukerjee Football Tournaments organised by the District Youth Affairs and Sports Office, Imphal East at Langjing Turf.
Kingsway English School secured their final ticket in the four-team U-17 boys tournament with a 6-0 rout of Nongpok Maheikol this morning.
Kingsway English School came out all guns blazing from the beginning to ease to a 3-0 first half lead courtesy of goals from Gaikhangam (2'), Mangal (10) and Mangal (13') before Jaotianmei (32'), Gainemlung (38') and Syed Farad (52') took their turns in the latter half to complete the 6-0 rout.
Meanwhile in the other semi-final match, Emmanuel English Academy knocked out St Anthony's School, Sangakpham by 6-1 goals courtesy of a double from M Shrinivash (42', 57') after M Bigyananda (2'), Shahil A (20'), Ch Gyaneshor (34') and Kh Perison (40') all scored a goal apiece.
The consolation goal for the losing team was scored by Rahul in the 56th minute.
U-15 Boys tournament
The 10-team U-15 boys tournament also kicked off today at the same venue. The opening day saw Yourabung High School, Yourabung edged out Khundrakpam Public School, Khundrakpam 2-1;  Princeton International School, Kshetrigao overwhelmed MM High School, Wangkhei 7-0 and Young Pioneers Academy, Uyumpok knocked out Khurai Popular HS 5-0.
With the results, Yourabung High School, Yourabung set up a quarterfinal date with Nongpok Maheikol, Bamon Leikai and Princeton International School set up a quarterfinal date with Paramount English School, Khurai Heigrumakhong.
Meanwhile Young Pioneer's Academy booked a semi-final ticket with today's win and will face the winners between Yourabung High School and Nongpok Maheikol in the semi-final.
