Senior Women's One Day TrophyYPHUC register 3 wicket win over Al-Ameen

IMPHAL, May 21 : YPHUC, Lalambung pulled off a 3-wicket win over Al-Ameen, Lilong in a 3rd MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy match today at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak.
Al-Ameen opted to bat first but struggled to post a lowly total of 123 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 35 overs as YPHUC bowlers proved too frugal. YPHUC then chased down the target in 26.2 overs despite losing 7 wickets to seal their first win in two matches.
Najiya Begum 44 and Sanjida 15 were the only double digit run getters for Al-Ameen in their innings that saw Tongbram Nilky pick three wickets (3/29 in 7 overs) while three claimed a wicket apiece.
In reply, YPHUC faced a tough time with Laishram Langlenthoibi (4/34 in 7 overs) and Sanjida (2/22 in 4.2 overs) producing fine bowling performances for Al-Ameen.
Their efforts however went in vain as cumulative 50 extras and contributions from Ningthoisana Thoudam 23, Okram Yashica 16 and Tongbram Nilku 10 not out helped YPHUC secure the victory in 26.2 overs.
 Nilky was eventually adjudged player of the match.
