UVSA to meet VSAI in 5th Sangai Trophy final

IMPHAL, May 2 : UVSA, Lilong Chajing will square off against VSAI, Thangmeiband in the title clash of the 5th Sangai Trophy Veteran Football Championship organised by the United Veteran Football Association.
The final match is scheduled on May 5.
UVSA made it to the final with a 5-4 win over MLVFA, Mayai Lambi yesterday at CYLC ground, Pishum.
The two teams were locked at 1-1 in the normal time before UVSA emerged victorious by 4-3 goals on penalties.
Ch Thoiba gave MLVFA the lead early in the 4th minute but S Budha made sure that UVSA came to level terms with a clinical finish in the 14th minute.
In the shoot-out, K Premkumar, K Khelendro, S Budha and Kh Romen scored for the Lilong team as only H Nepolean, Ng Angouton and Th Krishna scored for MLVFA.
