Don't participate in unsanctioned events : IWDFA

The Imphal West District Football Association (IWDFA) has informed all clubs affiliated to the association not to take part in any unsactioned tournament organised within or outside the State.
IWDFA, in a memorandum, members unanimously arrived at the decision to disallow affiliated clubs to participate in any tournament without its approval during an executive council meeting held on May 27.
Disciplinary action will be taken against the club defying the decision, it said.
In a separate memorandum, IWDFA informed that inter club transfer for the season 2024-25 will begin on June 1.
For amateur players, the transfer shall be completed within May 31. For non amateur players, first registration can be done from June 12 to August 31, 2024 while the second registration period can be done from January 1 to January 31, 2025, it said.
Transfer fee for players is Rs 2,500, it said while adding that the affiliated club or units shall clear their annual renewal fee amounting to Rs 3,000 latest by June 12.
All district tournaments will commence from the 1st week of August, it added.
