AITA Series : Sudarshan, Lanchenba ease into U-14 boys singles quarters

IMPHAL, May 6 : Manipur's Gurumayum Sudarshan and Maibam Lanchenba registered first round victories to enter U-14 boys singles quarterfinals in the AITA Championship Series hosted by Imphal District Tennis Association at its Lamphel court.
Sudarshan defeated Thoudam Singh 6-2, 6-3 today to set up a quarterfinal date with Aaditya Sinha of Meghalaya who got a first round bye today.
Meanwhile, Maibam Lanchenba outlasted Irungbam Yoimayai 6-1, 6-2 to book a quarter final berth. He will play the winners between Jyotishman Kashyap and Bajaj Nishant in the quarterfinal.
The day also saw Nomaan pulling off a 6-4, 6-2 win over Iraj Shaw to seal his place in the last-8 round while Raynard prevailed 6-0, 6-1 over Loitongbam Dhanaraj to set up a quarterfinal date with Enrich Patar of Assam.
