IMPHAL, May 8 : Young Welfare Club, Langthabal (YWC-L) conceded lead but staged late fight back to hold Eastern Sporting Union (ESU), Wangkhei Palace Compound to a 2-2 draw at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong in the ongoing U-17 Khelo India Women's Football League.
YWC started on a bright note and went ahead just 6 minutes into the game through Julan Nongmaithem but Longjam Nira Chanu equalised it for ESU in the 11th minute.
ESU overturned the lead right before the break as Naorem Henerita converted a magnificent chance in the 40th minute.
The scoreline remained intact for a major portion of the game and ESU looked confident to walk away with all three points but Remi Thokchom dashed away ESU's hopes of a win but scoring the equaliser for the Langthabal team in the 75th minute of the match.
Later in the day, Youth Welfare Club-Thambakhong (YWC-Th) devastated Khuman FA defence to post a comprehensive 12-0 victory.
Namram Lamnganbi starred with a haul of four goals in this one sided encounter as substitute Leikangbam Russia slotted home thrice to set up the huge victory for the Thambalkhong team.
Namram Lamnganbi opened the floodgate early in the 6th minute before adding her second in the 27th minute. The onslaught continued with Wairokpam Monika scoring two goals back to back in the 27th and the 30th minutes to make it 4-0 before the break.
After the restart, Senjam Alva Devi scored in the 45th minute to make it 5-0 before Russia Chanu opened her account the next minute to make it 6-0.
Namram Lamnganbi further stretched the lead to 7-0 adding her third in the 52nd minute before Russia had her second  and the third in the 59th and the 67th minutes to extend the lead to 9-0.
Lamnganbi rose again to net her fourth in the 68th minute before substitute Melody Wakheirakpam hit a brace in the 77th and the 80th minute to complete the 12-0 demolition of Khuman FA.
