Imphal ATC Tower introduces two independent air traffic control channels

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) inaugurated a dedicated Approach Control Procedural Unit and Aerodrome Control Unit at the Imphal Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower today.
The inaugural ceremony was held at the Imphal International Airport and graced by Chipemmi Keishing, Airport Director; Adil, General Manager Civil Engineering; Subrata Halder, ATS in-charge, said a press release issued by the AAI.
Chipemmi Keishing lauded the concerted effort of the entire team in realizing this historic milestone, emphasizing the tireless dedication and unwavering commitment that made this achievement possible.
The completion of these projects by June 2025 will significantly enhance passenger capacity and equip the new ATC Tower with state-of-the-art systems, ensuring the delivery of unparalleled air traffic services, he added.
