Decks cleared for June 18

IMPHAL, Jun 16: All preparations have been completed to observe the 23rd Great June Uprising, Unity Day at Kekrupat on June 18, said the organisers today.
The observance, held every year, commemorates the June 2001 uprising to protect Manipur's integrity. As done every year, floral tributes will be paid at the memorials of the 18 martyrs at Kekrupat on the day, said the observation committee of the 23rd The Great June Uprising, Unity Day-2024.
As a part of the observance, voluntary blood donation programmes will be held at RIMS and JNIMS, it said, appealing to people to take part in the programmes.
The blood donation programmes will begin from 9 am of June 18. Appreciation certificates will be given to all volunteers who donate blood, it added.
