IMPHAL, Jun 6 : Laishram Luhen of NBA clinched the elite men's 67 kg title as the Imphal East Boxing Championship-2024 organised by Imphal East District Amateur Boxing Association concluded this evening at Khuman Lampak Boxing Arena.
Laishram Luhen got the better of Sanabam Naoboy of SRC in the final to seal the 67 kg category title in the elite group competition.
Chinglemba Moirangthem of MKBA in the meantime bagged the elite men's 63.5 kg title by defeating Pheiroijam Nonglen of NBA in the final bout after his compatriot Khwairakpam Danyson defeated Lourembam Bikramjit of SRC in the 51 kg title bout.
Ayekpam Ajitaa wins youth women's 50 kg title
Ayekpam Ajit Chanu won the youth women's 50 kg today as she beat Laishram Bandana in the final today.
Meanwhile Sneha Tekcham of MKBA earned the youth women's 48 kg title beating Tensubam Rojibala in the final after Moirangthem Yaikhomba of MKBA defeated Ningthoujam Chinglensana of NBA for the youth men's 60 kg crown.
Irengbam Somiya clinches junior girls' 50 kg title
Irengbam Somiya was able to clinch the junior girls' 50 kg title today as she defeated Ahanthem Lanleima of SRC in the final after Laishram Korounganba defeated Rajkumar Rex of SRC in the junior boys 66 kg title clash.
Keisham Thongamba of SRC, meanwhile, notched up the 63 kg junior boys' title by defeating Rajkumar Yumkhaibam of MKBA in the final bout before Sandham Victory of NBA won the school age boys' 55 kg title beating Wangkheimayum Ronald in the final.
