State wrestling team flagged off

IMPHAL, Jul 3 :  The Manipur Wrestling Association (MWA) today flagged off a 22- member State team for National Wrestling Championship-2024 to be hosted by Uttarakhand from July 5 to 7 at Udham Singh Nagar.
Wrestlers who will be representing Manipur at the National Championship include Laishram Kalpana (43 kg), Th Sonali (49 kg), Khundongbam Thonba (53 kg), Laishram Jeshica (57 kg), S Chaoba (61 kg) and Thoudam Serena (65 kg) in the women's squad; T Dhakeshor (51 kg), L Robert (55 kg), M Kananjit (60 kg), M Jeson (65 kg), W Paikhomba (71 kg) and Rishikesh Leitanthem (80 kg) in the men's freestyle squad.
N Poreinganba (51 kg), L Kaiku (55 kg), Nongmaithem Bolson (60 kg), Heisnam Chingkheinganba (65 kg), Khundongbam Painting (71 kg) and Ngasekpam Luken (80 kg) are Greco Roman style wrestlers who were also part of the State team who are being led by S Prafullo Singh as manager, Nongmaithem Sunil as coach and S Saratkumar as official besides technical official Maibam Somorendro.
