9-member AMPLA senior powerlifting team head to Kolkata

IMPHAL, Aug 20 : A 9-member team of the All Manipur Powerlifting Association (AMPLA) left Imphal today for Kolkata for the 50th Senior Men and 42nd Senior Women's Equipped Powerlifting Championship 2024.
The championship began today and will culminate on August 25.
The team include Bidyajoy Huirem (59 kg), Hanjabam Deepraj Sharma (74 kg) and Salam Paras (74 kg) in the men's squad, and Ahanthem Sana (69 kg), Ahanthem Tareshori (76 kg) and Konjengbam Anita (76 kg) in the women's squad.
They were led by Naorem Sushila as coach, Takhelmayum Lena Devi and Oinam Sanatombi as men and women's managers.
