WB Athletics Assn to host 4th Indian Open U-23 Athletics Competition 2024

IMPHAL, Aug 27 : West Bengal Athletics Association is set to host the 4th Indian Open U-23 Athletics Competition 2024 under the auspices of the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) from September 28 to 30 at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata.
The event shall be organised in accordance with the rules of AFI, Competition and Technical Rules 2024 Edition of World Athletics and Indian Athletics Manual updated as on 1 October, 2010.
Athletes (born between October 1, 2001 and September 30, 2008) representing affiliated State and UT associations and recognised units- Army, Navy, Air Force, CRPF, BSF, ONGC, Reliance, JSW and approved academies can enter for the competition online via AFI portal from September 2 to 20, as per a communique received from AFI.
An athlete can enter in two individual events, it said.
It further said that athletes below 18 years are not allowed in races above 3000 m.
