32nd All Manipur Shooting Competition concludes

IMPHAL, Aug 28 : The 32nd All Manipur Shooting Competition organised by the Manipur Rifle Association (MRA) was brought to a close today at Shooting Ranges of Manipur Rifle Association, Taothong, Imphal West.
The closing ceremony of the competition was attended by Thangjam Arunkumar, MLA Wangkhei AC; Nongthombam Ingocha, SDPO, Lamphel; Nongthombam Indrajit, senior vice president of MRA; Hero Thokchom, MD Iboyaima Hospital and Moirangthem Rachandra, president of MRA as dignitaries who also led in encouraging the shooters with prizes.
Events for license gun holders were also held earlier in the day.
.45 Pistol (Slow Fire and Speed Fire)
In the men's individual .45 Pistol Slow Fire competition, Nongthombam Lanchenba gathered 61 points to finish on top as Potsangbam Tolongkhomba and N Keertichan amassed 57 and 33 points to finish second and third.
Nongthombam Sanaton meanwhile topped the masters men's individual .45 Pistol Slow Fire competition with a total score of 61 points. Nongthombam Ranveer (44 points) and RK Chinglen (20 points) were placed second and third in the event.

P Tolongkhomba in the meantime finished on top in the senior men's individual .45 Pistol speed fire event securing 72 points as RK Charzal and Lanchengba Nongthomba finished second and third with 39 and 31 points.
RK Chinglen on the other hand topped the masters men's  .45 Pistol speed fire event with 32 points. N Sanaton and Paojel Chaoba shot 18 and 8 points respectively to settle for the silver and the bronze medals.
.32 Pitsol/Revolver (Slow and Speed Fire)
Ningombam Robinson clinched senior men's individual .32 Pistol slow fire gold shooting 29 points as Adhikarimayum Suraj shot 23 points and L Sanatomba shot 5 points to finish second and third.
Aribam Saratchandra in the meantime topped the master men's slow fire event with the highest 50 points as Nongthombam Sanaton and Khumbongmayum Dilip scored 15 and 13 points to finish second and third.
Gurumayum Shyamkankhai Sharma and Sougrakpam Imocha in the meantime sealed the top two places in the senior masters men's individual competition with 84 and 22 points.
In the meantime, Ningombam Robinson shot 37 points in the men's individual .32 Pistol speed fire competition to win the gold as Md Mujibur Rahman picked the silver with 19 points.
Aribam Saratchandra meanwhile fetched the masters men's individual speed fire gold with 41 points as Khumbongmayum Dilip finished second with 10 points.
Gurumayum Shyamkanhai meanwhile scored 83 points in the senior masters men's individual event.
.22 Pistol/Revolver Slow Fire
Leimapokpam Dinachandra secured the men's individual .22 Pistol/Revolver slow fire competition with 49 points as Amakcham Olen finished second with 48 points.
Two Station Shooting
Aribam Saratchandra shot 32 points to top the two station shooting - Pistol and rifle for masters men as RK Dinesh finished second with 10 points.
Gurumayum Shyamkanhai meanwhile topped the  two station shooting - 25m and 50m Pistol for senior masters men.
Shotgun
Loitongbam Sachil hit the centre ring 6 times on the way to his remarkable 96 points feat to win the men's individual shotgun competition staged today.
Finishing second in the same event was Kh Ratankumar who gathered 86 points while Nongthombam Lanchenba finished third with 84 points.
Aribam Saratchandra meanwhile topped the master men's individual shotgun event scoring highest 81 points while Heisnam Kiran finished second with just 5 points.
Harendra Laishram meanwhile topped the senior masters men's shotgun event with 56 points.
The day also saw RK Dinesh win the men's individual .22 LR Open Sight Rifle prone position event scoring as many as 31 points while RK Kenanda finished second with 29 points.
