TSLI, TKLI hold cosultative meet

In the backdrop of tension prevailing among different communities in the State, the Tangkhul community residing in Imphal held a joint consultative meeting at Tangkhul Avenue Community Hall, today.
 The consultative meeting organised under the aegis of  Tangkhul Shanao Long Imphal (TSLI) and Tangkhul Katamnao Long Imphal (TKLI) was attended by representatives of Tangkhul village authorities, Tangkhul associations from 12 localities, women organisations from 15 localities and student unions from 18 localities inhabited by Tangkhul community.
The objective of the consultative meeting was to make the community aware of the volatile situation and also to take precautionary measures to avoid unwanted incidents in the near future.
The joint meeting discussed and resolved to issue a notification to Tangkhul business establishments and private employees to maintain strict working hours, ensure their safety and security at the workplace, and to appeal to their rent owners to keep a check on their respective tenants.
The discussion also highlighted the need to create more job opportunities in all sectors and ensure peaceful co-existence of all communities.
