IMPHAL, Aug 31 : The semi-final line up for boys and final line up for girls in the 43rd Manipur State Junior Kho-Kho Championship 2024 were completed today at PRSC, Pourabi ground.
Pool A winners SCEASDO, Heirok defeated Pool B runners up ALKKA, Leikinthabi 13-8 in the first semi-final match to seal their place in the girls' final before Pool B winners PRSC defeated Pool A runners BASU, Khangabok 20-8 in the second semi-final match and completed the final line up.
Earlier in the day, SCEASDO emerged on top of the girls Pool A competition defeating BASU 8-6 today in their first match before defeating SADA, Sanjenbam 13-5 in the last league match.
BASU finished Pool A runners up by defeating SADA 15-2 in their second match.
PRSC in the meantime defeated SENDYC 11-4; RYC, Keibi 18-7 and ALKKA 16-4 to sweep the Pool B campaign and finish on top of the table.
ALKKA however sealed a 11-9 win over RYC and 9-7 win over SENDYC to finish Pool B runners up and qualify for the semis.
Stage set for boys' semis
Pool A leaders SCEASDO, Heirok; Pool D winners BASU, Khangabok; Pool C leaders PRSC and Pool C runners up LYLL, Leimaram all advanced to the semi-finals of the boys competition.
SCEASDO, Heirok made it to the semi-finals with a 27-7 win over Pool D runners up ASKKA, Awang Sekmai in the first quarterfinal match before PRSC got the better of Pool B runners up ALKKA, Leikinthabi 12-5; BASU, Khangabok thumped Pool A runners SADA 11-5 and LYLL outlasted Pool B winners SENDYC, Salungpham 23-18 in the remaining quarterfinal matches.
Earlier in the day, SCEASDO topped the Pool A campaign defeating SADA 19-7 for the first win yesterday and 23-3 win over LACCIC, Khurai today.
SADA meanwhile defeated LACCIC 11-7 to finish Pool A runners up.
In the Pool B matches, SENDYC beat PKDC 2-0 and ALKKA 15-12 to finish pool winners as ALKKA finished runners up with a 22-5 win over PKDC.
Hosts PRSC in the meantime won 18-4 against GC Home for the second win and to finish Pool C winners as LYLL finished Group C runners with 11-6 win over GC Home.
BASU meanwhile topped the Pool D table beating ASKKA 21-13 and SYVA 24-7 while ASKKA finished pool runners defeating SYVA 24-7.
