Dengue cases touch 713

IMPHAL, Sep 28 : There is no respite in the spread of Dengue disease especially in urban areas as 23 more cases of the vector borne disease were reported today from JNIMS alone.
Reports of testing done at RIMS and private hospitals and  diagnostic centres today, however, have not been released yet, as per a source at the State Malaria Office.
With this, the State has so far recorded 713 official cases of Dengue this year.
Symptoms of Dengue include headache, muscle, bone or joint pain, nausea, vomiting, pain behind the eyes, swollen glands and rash.
Notably, one person from Keishamthong died of Dengue recently.
To prevent spread of Dengue, the State Malaria Office carried out fogging exercise at over 60 places including Keishamthong, Keishampat, Sega Road, Haobam Marak, Lalambung, Uripok, Lamphel, Thangmeiband, Khurai Telipati and  Bamon Leikai today.
