Mr Kangleipak Contest on October 27 : MABBA

IMPHAL, Sep 5 : The Manipur Amateur Body Building Association (MABBA) is all set to organise the 14th edition of Mr Kangleipak Contest 2024 on October 27 at GM Hall, Imphal.
This was informed by MABBA secretary Sapam Jaychandra during a press conference convened today at KBB Gym located at Sagolband Tera Sapam Leirak.
He said the contest will see senior, junior and sub-junior athletes compete for top honours in four different height categories- short, medium, tall and super tall.
He also appealed to all sections of the society to not call any bandh and blockade on the day of the event being organised with an objective of making Manipur a healthy and disease free society.
Gyms finishing team champions and runners up will be feted with Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 each, he said while adding that the overall toppers in the senior, junior and sub-junior categories will be encouraged with Rs 50,000; Rs 40,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively.
The top three position holders for different height groups in the senior category will also receive Rs 7,000; Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 each while top three position holders for different height groups in the junior category will be awarded Rs 5,000; Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively, he said.
The top three position holders for different height groups in the sub-junior category in the meantime will receive Rs 4,000; Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 each. The fourth and fifth place holders in all the categories will also be receiving Rs 1,000 each, he added. Jaychandra further said that cash prizes of Rs 30,000; Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 are allocated for winners of men's physique, men's classic physique and women's physique competitions apart from Rs 10,000 cash prize for masters' overall winner.
