Special Outreach Health Camp held

IMPHAL, Jan 10 : A Special Outreach Health Camp was conducted today at Wahengbam Leikai Community Hall under the supervision of Sagolband AC MLA Rk Imo Singh.
The outreach initiative, organised under National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) by  the Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Sagolband, successfully provided essential health services to over 110 individuals, said a release.
Speaking on the occasion, RK Imo Singh said, "Ensuring access to basic healthcare is a fundamental responsibility, and I am committed to making it accessible to every resident of our constituency".
"As we begin a new year, prioritizing health and well-being is of utmost importance. Initiatives like these camps not only provide immediate care but also create awareness about preventive health practices", he added.
The services offered during the camp included OPD consultation, laboratory testing, NCD screening, ABHA ID creation, eye check-up, free medicines & immunization.
Additionally, under the Ana Layengi Tengbang scheme of the MLA, the Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPC) has handed over Rs 20,000 to each patient and their family for kidney, heart, and cancer treatments in Sagolband over the last two & half years.
To date, more than 250 families have benefited from this support, showcasing a strong commitment to the well-being of the community.
