MU hosts book discussion prog

IMPHAL, Jan 10 : A highly engaging book discussion on "India’s Foreign Policy Under Modi: A New Paradigm Shift" was conducted today at the Department of Teacher Education, Manipur University, Canchipur.
The event was attended by academicians, students, and enthusiasts from various fields.
The book, authored by Prof N Surjitkumar, Head, Department of Political Science & Human Rights, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak (IGNTU), Madhya Pradesh, unfolds an engaging analysis of the turns of India’s foreign policy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
According to a release issued by IGNTU, care was taken to organise the discussion function along with an enriching session that threw light on various aspects of the subject matter.
Prof Naorem Lokendra Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Manipur University, was the chief guest for the event, sharing invaluable insights into the implications of India's strategic foreign policies.
Prof Premalata Maisnam, Dean of the School of Education, presided over the event, and Prof Ibohal Meitei, Director of the Research and Development Cell, was honoured as the guest of honour.
Dr Md Farjuddin, Assistant Professor, Dhanamanjuri University, reviewed the book and appreciated its comprehensive analysis and all-rounded perspective that makes it a critical resource for understanding contemporary geopolitical dynamics.
The event began with a traditional lighting ceremony symbolising the bright future and the enlightenment that knowledge brings.
The discussions highlighted the importance of adapting and evolving foreign policies in today's complex international arena.
