2nd DCA Inter School Chess Tournament 2025 concludes

IMPHAL, Sep 30 : The second edition of DCA Inter School Chess Tournament 2025 organised by D Chess Academy came to a close today.
The tournament opened on September 28 saw intense competition from students clubbed into three groups- King, Queen and Knight, at Heritage Convent’s hall at Uripok Bachaspati Leikai.
Mangal Elangbam of Heritage Convent (8½ pts), Prichard Elangbam (8 pts) of Heritage Convent and Lemba Sougaijam (7½  pts) of Ramakrishna Mission School sealed the top three places in the Queen Group.
Dayanand Thoudam (8 pts) of Sishu Nistha Niketan; Williamba Moirangthem (8 pts) of Kindergarten Montessori and Khuman Einstein Maibam (7½  pts) of RM School emerged top three winners in the King group.
UNACCO School’s Thounaojam Favien (9 pts) meanwhile sealed the top position in the Knight group followed by Rajkumari Sanghamitra (7½  pts) of UNACCO School and W Tanishkar (7 pts) of RM School.
The winners and participants were feted with cash prizes and trophies during the valedictory function attended by Th Satyabrata, Speaker Manipur Legislative Assembly as chief guest; Prof Dr Senjam Gojendra, Associate Professor and Consultant Psychiatrist in the Department of Psychiatry at RIMS as functional president and A Amarjit, social worker as guest of honour.
