NEINASANG pay tribute to Hijam Irabot on 129th birth anniversary

NEINASANG, Sagolband Tera Loukrakpam Leikai today observed the 129th birth anniversary of legendary social activist Lamyanba Hijam Irabot at Tera.
Poetry competition, song presentation, Thang-Ta salutation and floral tribute to Hijam Irabot were the main highlights of the observation programme, said NEINASANG in a press release.
The life and work of Hijam Irabot was an educationist, artiste, journalist, and social worker before becoming a political figure, were also recalled during the programme attended by local Meira Paibi group, students and eminent personalities, it said.
