PREPAK celebrates foundation day

IMPHAL, Oct 9: The proscribed PREPAK celebrated its 48th foundation day at different places in association with both the hill people and plain people.
The 48th foundation day of PREPAK was celebrated at its central headquarters, general headquarters, 707 mobile battalion, base area-1, base area-2, base area-3, base area-4, tactical headquarters, training centres, transit camps, mobile battalion-01 and mobile battalion -02, said a press release issued by the outfit’s Publicity Officer, Department of Publicity and Propaganda Mangal Khuman.
PREPAK Interim Council Chairman Aheiba Angom and Charge-d’-Affairs, Publicity and Propaganda LeibaakNgaakpa Luwang graced the raising day function held at the central headquarters as chief guest and president respectively.
There, Aheiba Angom hoisted the party’s flag after lighting up the ceremonial lamp.
Speaking on the occasion, Aheiba Angom said that the Government of India’s geopolitics and the resulting conflict among the communities have posed serious threats to the integrity of Kangleipak as well as peace and harmony.
At the general headquarters, Red Army’s Chief of Army Staff Romi Meitei, Charge-d’-Affairs Medical & Family Welfare Chamba, Deputy Finance Secretary Rocky, Organisation-1 Shanti and Organisation-2 Ngairamba attended the foundation day celebration as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
After the Red Army’s Chief of Army Staff opened the function by lighting up a ceremonial lamp and unfurling the party’s flag, floral tributes and gun salute were offered to all the martyrs, said the press release.
Base Area Secretary Langamba and Red Army’s Camp Commander Md Pakkish attended the foundation celebration at 707 Mobile Battalion as chief guest and president respectively.
PREPAK has also conveyed gratitude to all fraternal revolutionary organisations of WESEA and Kangleipak which extended warm greetings to the outfit on its 48th foundation day. It further conveyed gratitude to all the hill and plain people who made the foundation day celebration a success.
