Woman rescued

IMPHAL, Oct 10 : Firefighters rescued a 38-year- old woman who fell into a deep well at Sekmai Awang Leikinthabi today.
According to a press release issued by the Manipur Fire Service, the woman, identified as Thangjam Tha-ba Devi (38), wife of Th Jatra of Leikinthabi Santi-pur, was rescued using a breathing apparatus set, tripod, and rope harness, following information provided by the Manipur Police Control Room.
The rescue operation was assisted by Sekmai police and personnel of 2/8 Gurkha Regiment, Koirengei.
