IDP students protest

IMPHAL, Oct 10 : The IDP Students' Welfare Association has announced that they have locked the Department of Vocational Studies and Skill Development (DVSSD) at Manipur University in protest against the alleged humiliation of displaced students by the Head of the Department (HoD).
Addressing the media at the Manipur Press Club today, Ksh Naocha, media and publicity secretary, stated that their protest will continue until the Head of the Department (HoD) is removed from his post.
He claimed that the HoD, instead of sincerely apologizing to the displaced students, put unfounded charges on them.
He said that they have submitted a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor of MU on October 8 and their protest will continue until their demand is entertained.
