Senior Women’s NFC Holders Manipur cruise into final with 4-0 rout of Tamil Nadu

IMPHAL, Oct 13 : Defending champions Manipur carried forward their momentum and posted a 4-0 win against Tamil Nadu to seal their final ticket in 30th Senior Women's National Football Championship for Rajmata Jijabai Trophy 2025-26,  at RKM Ashrama Ground, Narainpur, in Chhattisgarh this evening.
Lynda Kom continued to shine in the tournament and added two more goals to her tally today to set up the 4-0 win for Final Round Group B winners over Group A runners up Tamil Nadu.
Lynda opened the scoring for Manipur 17 minutes into the game and further extended the lead to 2-0 within four minutes.
Dangmei Grace who accumulated 5 goals in four final round matches, also displayed her scoring prowess to make it 3-0 after 29 minutes before Khumukcham Bhumika Devi fired home the final nail to the coffin in the 48th minute.
With the win, 23 time champions Manipur set up a final date with former champions West Bengal on October 15.
The match begins at 3 pm at RKM Ashrama Ground, Narainpur, in Chhattisgarh.
West Bengal sealed their place in the final with a 2-1 win over Uttar Pradesh earlier this morning.
