Drug peddlers held

IMPHAL, Oct 24 : Police arrested two drug peddlers along with 119 gram of brown sugar and about 1 kg of WY tablets.
The two persons identified as Md Bogimayum Khommel (54) of Paobitek Maning Leikai under Wangoi Sub-Division and Md Muhammad Iboyai (51) of Boryangbi Mayai Leikai, Moirang Sub-Division were arrested from Martyrs Park in Senapati and from in front of Tengnoupal police station on October 22 and October 23 respectively, according to police.
In a separate operation, security personnel also arrested 26-year-old Sagomsungpham Sohail from Khomidok Mayai Leikai in his residential area under Heingang police station, Imphal East district, on October 21.
The raid yielded 91 bottles of Tusserex-TR cough syrup, a psychotropic substance frequently misused, along with Rs 12,780 in cash and a mobile phone.
