IMPHAL, Oct 25: Tangkhul Music Festival-2025 will be held for two days on October 31 and November 1 at Ramrei Eco Park, Kamjong district.
Speaking to media persons at Ramrei Eco Park this evening, Tangkhul Music Forum (TMF) advisor Guru Rewben Mashangva said that TMF will organise the music festival on the theme “Echoes of Peace”.
Guru Rewben Mashangva said that they are organising the music festival with the main objective of bringing peace and harmony in the strife-torn State through music.
He said that several bands from across the North East region including Manipur will perform at the music festival.
Saying that they are not organising the festival in any grand manner, he, nonetheless, appealed to people of all the communities to come and join the festival, and help in restoring peace in Manipur.
TMF vice-president Augustine Shimray said that all sections of the people have been suffering a lot for the last two years on account of the violent crisis.
Now it’s time to leave the past and move forward.
“It is with this belief that we are organising the music festival”, Augustine Shimray said.
In addition to music, the festival will feature camping, Tangkhul cultural shows and cuisines, eco-tourism, adventure sports etc.
Representing different riders’ clubs, Royal Riders Manipur (RRM) general secretary Thongam Bishwanath (Bullu) said that there are around 15 riders’ clubs of Royal Enfield, and five of them will support the music festival.
He also exuded confidence that the other clubs will also come forward in support of the music festival.
While appealing to all the people to support the music festival towards restoring peace in the State, Bishwanath extended financial assistance to the TMF on behalf of the riders’ clubs.
Among others, Guru Rewben Mashangva, Thangmeisho, Sorri Senjam, Mac Kasar, Ringo and Meewakching would perform at the festival.
