IMPHAL, Oct 26 : The 2nd edition of the Kids and Mini Boys and Girls State Archery Championships kicked off today at SICO ground, Thongju under the aegis of the Manipur Archery Association.
The opening day saw Thounaojam Langlen of KMAC, Langmeidong clinching the U-10 girls individual Indian Round gold medal.
She shot 282 points to finish first as Dec Angel Wangkheirakpam of BAA finished second with 257 points and Aarna Shukla of AAA finished third with 158 points.
Shilheiba Leimapokpa of ESU meanwhile claimed the U-10 boys individual Indian Round title by amassing 330 points while Huidrom Adison of KMAC (325 pts) and Konjengbam Messi (317 pts) settled for the 2nd and 3rd places.
Later, O Lanchenbi (246 pts) of BAA sealed the U-10 girls individual Recurve gold as W Genius (319 pts) sealed the boys’ gold.
Polem Aadyajit of AAA meanwhile earned the U-10 boys compound event gold medal by securing 344 points.
The U-13 girls individual Indian Round title on the other hand went to Konhengbam Kebi of FAC who shot 348 points to finish atop. Chongtham Libiya of NSA (340 pts) and Laishram Hemabati of KMAC (337 pts) finished second and third in the competition.
Meanwhile, Elangbam Mahesh of KMAC won the U-13 boys’ individual Indian Round gold with a 352-point finish as Tonjam Dhananjoy of FAC (348 pts) and Yumnam Robinson of LMLCC (346 pts) finished second and third.
ESU’s Y Bibirani meanwhile claimed the U-13 girls’ individual Recurve event gold by securing 340 points as compatriot W Malasana finished second on 324 points and T Changkhonbi of AAA finished third on 288 points.
Mutum Santosh of ESU was the U-13 individual boys’ Recurve winner as he scored the highest 329 points while K Thoithoibi of NSA and M Luchingpurel of ESU scored 326 and 312 points to finish second and third.
Sh Stelina of BAA meanwhile sealed the U-13 girls’ individual Compound gold with a score of 340 points as Chongtham Chitan of BAA won the boys’ gold with 331 points.
