PREPAK refutes

IMPHAL, Oct 27: The proscribed PREPAK has  refuted any connection whatsoever between the outfit and the two men arrested by police from Thongkhong Luxmi Bazar, Imphal West on October 10  on the charge of extortion.
Longjam Yaiphaba Angom alias Nanao (30) of Top Upokpi Makha Leikai, Imphal West and Oinam Henba Singh (37) of Wangoo Ahallup, Bishnupur were arrested by police yesterday.
However, a press release issued by PREPAK Publicity Officer, Department of Publicity & Propaganda Mangal Khuman said that the outfit and its armed wing Red Army have no connection with the two men in any manner.
The allegation that they are PREPAK cadres is nothing but re-emergence of Manipur Police’s old habit of making false and fabricated charges, it added.
