Ranji Trophy Plate Group second tie Priyojit named player of the match as Manipur and Bihar share spoils

IMPHAL, Oct 28 : Manipur and Bihar shared a point apiece as the second Ranji Trophy Plate Group tie at Gokulbhai Somabhai Patel Stadium, Nadiad was declared a draw due to rain.
Manipur were 387/6 in the first innings (117 overs) before rain intervened on the second day. Due to unplayable ground conditions rendered by the rain till the fourth day, the match was declared a draw unfinished.
Kangabam Priyojit, who remained unbeaten on 186 off 269 deliveries (26 fours, 1 six), was adjudged player of the match that also witnessed Kh Ulenyai (42 off 59 balls; 8 fours), M Ronald (41 off 90 balls; 6 fours), Johnson (41 off 99 balls; 5 fours) and L Bashid (45 off 137 balls; 5 fours) making significant contributions.
For Bihar, Amod Yadav (2/53), Sachin Kumar (2/63) and Vaibhav Suryavanshi (1/7) were among the wickets.
Manipur had also played out a draw with Sikkim in the first match of the season at Rangpo and will now host Arunachal Pradesh at ADSA Railways Cricket Ground in Ahmedabad, Gujarat from November 1 in the third match.
