Kids and Mini State Archery Championships conclude

IMPHAL, Oct 28 : The 2nd Kids and Mini State Archery Championships hosted by the Southern Imphal Centre for Archery (SICA) at its Koirou Thongkhong ground under the aegis of Manipur Archery Association came to a close today.
The final day of the championship witnessed Y Sanamanbi Chanu of ESU sealed the U-15 girls Recurve gold by beating Thongam Yaikhombi of SAI-RC 6-2 in the final as Soibam Lamyanba of AAA won the boys title with a 6-0 win over compatriot H Binison Sharma.
Sanamanbi also won the 40m x 40m Recurve competition by securing 670 points as Soibam Lamyanba amassed 692 points to win the boys’ 40m x 40m Recurve competition gold.
NSA team composed of Nepram Lanchenbi, Chongtham Libiya, Takhellambam Silvia and Naorem Henthoi claimed the Indian Round gold for U-15 girls. NSA also won the U-15 boys’ Indian Round team gold. The team included Leishangthem Lanchenba, Thoithoi Huidrom, Th Bidyananda and P Parimangal.
The winners and other participants were feted during the closing function.
