Swachchata Diwas celebrated

IMPHAL, Oct 2 : Celebrating Swachhata Diwas and inauguration of Special Campaign 5.0, the 86 Bn CRPF Lamphelpat organised "Shramdan" by conducting a mass cleanliness drive as part of public outreach initiative at Thangmeiband Cheirao Ching, Imphal and its surrounding areas today.
Swachhata Diwas marks the culmination of the Swachhata Hi Sewa campaign. The drive was conducted under the supervision of Saurabh Kumar Choudhary, Commandant, 86 Bn CRPF, according to a press release.
Officers and jawans of 86 Bn CRPF along with local residents participated in the drive.
The closing of Swachhata Diwas was celebrated with a mass Swachhata pledge led by Saurabh Kumar Choudhary and recognition of "Safai Mitras" with the distribution of shawls and certificates to several personnel involved in the programme.
