IMPHAL, Oct 2 : One person was killed while two others were injured when a car (Beat) skidded off the road and plunged into a roadside ditch today at about 7.30 pm at Kwakta Charangpat Bishnupur district. The driver escaped unhurt. It is reported that the accident occurred during a heavy rainfall in the area. The deceased has been identified as Kongjengbam Romesh (30), while the injured are Kongjengbam Ashok (30) and Ningombam Robinson (29).
All three are residents of Moirang Konjengbam Leikai and work as house painters. They were taken to Kwakta Primary Health Centre, where Romesh was declared dead on arrival. The two injured individuals were later shifted to Imphal for further treatment.
