38th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo MPSC-A, Thangmeiband Youth PC book quarterfinal tickets

IMPHAL, Oct 29 : MPSC-A and Thangmeiband Youth PC earned their place in the quarterfinals of the ongoing 38th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo with pre-quartefinal victories today at Mapal Kangjeibung.
In the first match of the day, MPSC entered the last-8 round with a 16-2 demolition of Paradise Polo Club, Wangkhei. S Bimol (6) and Y Binoy (5) led the scoring for MPSC as they contributed 11 goals while T Roshan (3) and O Suresh (2) gathered 5 goals to seal the 16-2 win for MPSC-A.
Roshan scored two goals in the opening chukker while O Suresh and S Bimol added a goal each to earn a 4-0 lead.
Suresh then scored twice and Roshan completed his scoring in the second chukker to 7-0 lead before S Bimol and Y Binoy scored three goals apiece and Suresh added one in the third chukker to hand a 14-1 lead as M Danil scored the first goal for Paradise PC.
Binoy then scored twice in the final chukker against M Danil’s second to make the final scoreline read 16-2.
Later in the day, Thangmeiband Youth PC outlasted Ibudhou Marjing PC 13-1. S Saolin stole the saw as he scored at will to amass 9 goals for the Thangmeiband team as O Paikhomba scored the other four goals. The consolation goal for the Heingang side was scored by N Sadananda in the second chukker to make it 1-5.
