State Junior Taekwondo team leave Imphal

IMPHAL, Oct 29 : The All Manipur Judo Association has flagged off a 18-member State Junior team today for the 15th National Junior Poomsae and 42nd National Junior Kyorugi Taekwondo Championships beginning on October 31 at Koramangala Stadium, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Ranbir Moirangthem is leading the Kyorugi squad (10 players) as the coach while Sagolshem Rojesh is leading the Poomsae squad (7 players).
The players in the Kyorugi squad are Saikhom Nungshiba (U-48 kg), Elangbam Yoihenba (U-51 kg), Yumnam Obed (U-55 kg), Nandeibam Anish (U-59 kg), Thokchom Naoboy (U-63 kg), Lourembam Newzealand (U-73 kg), Moirangthem Jetnika (U-44 kg), Sanasam Valena Devi (U-46 kg), Kangabam Malemnganbi (U-59 kg), and Kangjam Sinthoi (over 68 kg).
Meanwhile Elangbam Anganba and Riya Puyam are in the Poomsae squad who will be taking part in both individual men and women as well as group events.
Lankhomba Thangjam and Soubam Loushingba Chanu meanwhile will be competing in the mixed pair event.
Anganba will join Lankhomba and Sanathoi in the Group event while Riya and Loushingba will join Nongthombam Yaisana in the women’s Group event.
