CRPF-organised U-19 Kho- Kho Tournament concludes

IMPHAL, Oct 29
The Bishnupur U-19 Kho-Kho Tournament organised by the Dett 157 Bn CRPF, Kangvai in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India under Khelo India initiative concluded today at Chandpur playground, Keibul Lamjao in Bishnupur district.
FANCA, Chandpur emerged the champions of the 12 team tournament by beating WES Club, Wabagai 27-17 today in the final.
FANCA and WES Club were feted with cash prize of Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively along with trophies and medals during the closing ceremony that was graced by Th Shangkar Deba, SP Bishnupur as chief guest and M Madhusudon, vice president Kho Kho Federation of India as guest of honour.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest lauded the enthusiasm and sportsmanship of the participants, said a statement issued by Comdt 157 Bn CRPF.
The tournament was organised under the supervision of the IG CRPF, Manipur and Nagaland Sector, aimed at promoting community harmony, youth engagement, and strengthening the bond between CRPF and the local population, the statement said.
