Pambei-led UNLF mourns

IMPHAL, Oct 29: The Pambei-led UNLF has mourned the demise of its MPA Private Leichombam Pikhamlakpa alias Chandramohon.
According to a press release issued by the outfit’s Department of Publicity & Education Secretary Charairongba Thokchom, Leichombam Pikhamlakpa died of a medical problem at around 5.30 pm on October 27, 2025.
Pikhamlakpa alias Chandramohon was born to L Chandramani and L Memcha of Terakhongsangbi on March 2, 1989.
He grew up as a man with a strong spirit of Nationalism. As he became mature, he joined the liberation struggle.
He was a freedom fighter of high discipline who was always diligent and dutiful.
Pikhamlakpa was last posted at the MPA’s 2nd Brigade, 242 Bn and his service number was 2815, it said.
Mourning the demise of Pikhamlakpa alias Chandramohon, the outfit and its armed wing MPA have offered revolutionary salute to the deceased freedom fighter.
The Pambei-led UNLF and its armed wing MPA have also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and friends.
