Arm cut off

THOUBAL, Oct 29: In an unfortunate incident, a person's right arm was torn off clean while handling a threshing machine at Thoubal district's Heirok Part-III this morning.
The incident occurred at a paddy field at Heirok Part-III Ngarouthel Khuman Loukol at around 9.30 am.
Laishram Kiran Singh (36) was trying to unclog paddy stalks stuck inside the threshing machine when his right arm got tangled in the blade and was cut off.
Laishram Kiran Singh (36) is son of Laishram Ingocha alias Sarkar of Heirok Part-I Mayai Leikai.
He was rushed to the Shija Hospital in Imphal and is undergoing treatment, said sources.
