MIUFC, SSC post contrasting wins in 3rd Premier League

IMPHAL, Oct 30 : MIUFC, Mayang Imphal and SSC, Sekta posted contrasting wins in today’s matches of the ongoing 3rd Premier League at SSC ground, Sekta.
In the 34th match of the tournament, MIUFC who beat KIYC 2-1 for the second win in four games, extended their winning run to three games by handing Angtha FC a 4-1 defeat.
Angtha went ahead after 18 minutes thanks to a penalty converted by Konthoujam Premananda but MIUFC drew level through Maibam Kishan in the 31st minute before Longjam Ronald (54’), Wahengbam Tejkumar (63’) and Khuyenthem Rajesh (80’) took their turns in the second half to earn the 4-1 win.
Later in the second match, SSC ended their four-game winless run with a 1-0 win over KIYC, Kshetri Awang Leikai.
The goal that settled the game was scored by Sapam Bishorjit in the 31st minute.
